Our Story

Kyle’s Place is named in honor of Kyle Milliman, a strong teen leader who cared greatly for others and often was the first to reach out to those struggling. Kyle was a prominent leader in the Hebron High School “Journey to a Dream group”, now known as the “Dream Initiative.” Kyle encouraged and motivated his peers to abstain from substance abuse and embrace salvation through Christ. Kyle was always one of the first to make his way to comfort impacted students in the audience with his own personal “hug” ministry. During his senior year at Hebron High School, Kyle struggled with depression and a football injury that sidelined his dream of playing in college. In 2012, Kyle tragically committed suicide. We honor his memory and remind ourselves of the life-saving importance of our mission by naming our residential campus program in his honor.
