Dream Initiative
Knowing your true self and believing in your ability to achieve a goal are two critical, sometimes difficult, lessons of adolescence. They help prepare us to be confident, productive adults. Our in-school programming brings these lessons into sharp focus for thousands of middle and high school students annually. Students explore their strengths and identity, then put them to work doing good in the world through service.

Through our Dream Initiative Program, teens develop important life skills that support their emotional well-being, personal growth, and future success. The program focuses on social and emotional learning, helping participants build healthy coping strategies and stronger self-awareness. Teens learn practical skills such as anger management, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and effective communication, while also gaining tools to build and maintain positive relationships. The program also emphasizes prevention and education, including substance abuse prevention, teen pregnancy prevention, and suicide prevention, along with mental health awareness and strategies for coping with stress and difficult emotions. Participants are guided in setting realistic goals, developing good study habits, and practicing healthy eating habits. Additionally, the program addresses the prevention of cutting and other destructive behaviors, empowering teens with the knowledge and skills they need to make safe, healthy, and confident choices.
